![]() What is a Single Supplement? Cruise lines generally charge a "single supplement" to passengers who choose to travel solo. From the cruise line's perspective, what they’re selling is essentially cabin space, and if there’s two or more people in a cabin, they split the cost of that space and can sell more space. People traveling alone pay for all the space by themselves….thus the cruise lines are losing money. Most cruise lines start with the per-person rate based on a double occupancy and add 50-100% to the price for a single person sailing. For Example: a cabin that sells for $1,000 per person based on double occupancy would be sold to a single for $1,500 to $2,000….OUCH!! At Escape Destinations Travel, we're very sympathetic to our single customers' desires for a super great price and we’ll research until we find it for you! Why should single travelers have to pay double the cost to travel solo on cruises? To us, this just seems so very unfair!! We've scoured more than 25,000 departures to identify and secure the absolute lowest single supplements for our clients, including fabulous cabins that can be reserved by our single customers with no supplement at all. Allow us to find these special cruise fares for you today! It’s what we specialize in! Escape Destinations Travel 910.379.4033
