![]() Honey Fund! If you've been watching our Facebook postings, you'll notice that we've signed up with Honey Fund! This is a free service where future brides and grooms can register their wedding on our site, and send this information to all the wedding guests. Guests can choose to send monetary gifts to the future Bride and Groom. They in turn can collect the money and use it for their honeymoon. The site says that wedding parties saw around $2600+ in money to use towards the Honeymoon of their Dreams! Please note, we are not paid for this service, it's just something we wanted to add for our brides to help make their honeymoon plans easier to plan and more feasible for their budget. Check out: http://escapedestionationstravel.honeyfund.com for more details! This will also work for graduates, those earning funds for a charity fundraiser. What a super terrific idea, we think! Barbados...Never Boring!
Quick Fact About Barbados: Did you know that the name "Barbados" actually comes from the "Bearded Fig Tree" which was once found all over the island? When the Portuguese first spotted the island of Barbados back in 1536 while en route to Brazil, they referred to it as "Lost Barbados" which means the "Bearded Ones" in Portuguese. There are still some Bearded Fig Trees in Barbados, but they’re found in small gullies in certain areas of the country. They’re not as abundant as they were when the Portuguese first found the island. ![]() Quick Clothing Travel Tip-NEVER TRAVEL NAKED: I know it's hot out there in may places, but hey...you gotta keep your clothes on! Next best thing to traveling naked, travel with some quick-dry, moisture wicking clothing. I can't stress this one enough to ya, especially in those super-hot climates! You know where that is...do you want to smell bad, well no you don't. So, do have at least 2 quick-dry shirts & for the guys (PLEASE-PLEASE), pick up some quick-dry underwear. These things are truly ideal for travelling. So, if you've run out of clean clothes (DON'T DO THE SNIFF TEST), It's NOT A PROBLEM, you can toss the dirty items in the bathroom sink with some soap, ring them out, whip them around, dry them on the tub overnight & you can wear them again. Hey...that's easy! Just make sure you pick the moisture wicking clothes up before you leave home, as they’re much harder to find on your travels! |
