20 Items Not to be forgotten on Your Cruise-
By Jen Campbell of Escape Destinations Travel

It’s  obvious most of us forget things for our cruise. Here's our list of items you don't want to forget!

1. Highlighter for daily newsletter activities
Great way to keep track of what you want to do activity wise, on your cruise.

2. Towel clips for the deck chairs!
Use those cutesy clips to hold down your chair so wind doesn’t send your towel off into the sea.

3. Power strip for more outlets
There are NEVER enough power outlets in your stateroom.

4. Nightlight
An Interior Stateroom can cause injuries if you’re not careful walking around an unfamiliar room at night. Pack a nightlight.

5. Sunscreen & Bug Spray
The tropics sun can be super strong, and you can burn quickly, don’t forget this otherwise the cruise ships store offers it for sale at a hefty price. Bug spray is super important in those areas with bugs.

6. Wrinkle Release Spray
An iron on the ship is hard to get, so bring your spray with you and release all those wrinkles away.

7. Your Reusable Water Bottle
Your reusable water bottle will save you space, and money, and is easily refilled at any water station on the ship.

8. Those Water shoes for excursions a rocky beach or rough sea floor
Some of the beaches and excursions can be rough on your pedi.  Avoid any harsh terrain with water shoes that you can wear all over the decks and on shore.

9. $1/$5/$10 dollar bills for tipping or buying Souvenirs in Port
Many shops don’t accept credit cards, plus cash spends anywhere, so keep extra on hand.

10. Hat
Imagine that floppy hat you’d never wear to the local pool, on a cruise, these fun hats are always in style. Even a baseball cap will help.

11. Watch
Keep your watch set on the ship’s time throughout your voyage, so you always know when to be back from the shore, and know what time it is always.

12. Safety Pins
Always helpful for that inevitable rip or tear.

13. Laundry bag for dirty clothes
Consider bringing a pop-up hamper or durable bag for laundry.  I always use my laundry bag supplied by the cruise lines, and put my dirty clothes in here.

14. Lint roller
Lint rollers are sold in a travel-friendly size now, so you will always have one on hand that saves space in your luggage.

15. Comfy walking shoes
For those long walking tours or perhaps some wonderful shopping along a cobblestone street in Europe, you’ll need and want comfy shoes made for walking.

16. Over the door storage hanger
These handy gadgets are a must have to store all your miscellaneous items.

17. Pain medication, Seasickness Meds & Bandaids
Chances are you’ll need one of these and the gift shop will always sell these at a premium. Best to pack and not need them, then forget to pack and have to pay a premium!

18. Sticky notes & Magnets
Sticky notes are great for notes for cabin mates, when you can meet, see a show together, etc. And magnets work great on the metal cabin walls.

19. Ziplock bags
For anything from a child’s soiled clothes, to keeping your cell phone and camera safe on the beach from sand and surf – ziplock bags have nearly unlimited uses.  Stash a few in your bag just to be prepared.

20. Lanyard for Your Key Card
A lanyard keeps your important sea card with you at all times. Or head to the casino on board and the crew will even punch a hole in your card for you to attach to your neck via a  handy-dandy necklace.
